Still having confusion on how to provide your video lectures to students. Below are some E-learning content delivery options which teachers or faculties generally use to provide their encrypted video lectures to students.
Traditional Mediums
Pen Drive / USB / Hard Drive / SD Card / DVD
Using these mediums a teacher or institute can provide the video lectures or other files to their students by copying the encrypted files which they have encrypted (using USB Encryption Software, Pendrive Encryption Software, Video Encryption software) of a specific course or subject in any of the above-mentioned mediums which students can play only after activating it through a serial key of that course or subject which the teacher or Institute has provided to him/her in a specific software (like Content Browser,…) only.
Now you will wonder what if that student gives the USB or SDCard to his/her friends to watch those lectures or files on a different device, so to clarify you on that you don’t need to worry about it as these encrypted files and software will not play on other devices without activation, it’s just like taking a subscription of anything or allowing access to use that content which can be controlled by that teacher or Institute. This means without your permission the same content will not get activated on other devices unless you provide a different serial key to the new student so that he/ she can activate the course and can watch videos thereafter.
These mediums need to be transported to the students either through courier or student can collect it from your center.
As these files are encrypted using video encryption software you will also need to provide the software files to the students through which they can play these files.
New Age Mediums
CDN Clouds(Preferred) / G Drive / One Drive
As compared to Traditional Mediums these New-age Mediums need not be transported to the students as it is cloud-based and can be delivered virtually. These mediums are cost-effective and require less efforts. In these mediums, teachers or institutes can directly upload their encrypted videos or documents / PDFs files which they have encrypted (using Encryption Software, video lecture encryption Software, video Encryption software) on the cloud and share the link with the students through which they can download and activate the serial key of course or content using software like Content Browser and can start watching video lectures instantaneously.
As it is an integrated and hassle-free model which helps teachers and institutes to reduce support issues from students and also students save time because of the faster and hassle-free process.
As these files are encrypted using video encryption software you will also need to provide the software files to the students through which they can play these files.
